OUR APPROACH
You don't need to have the right words to begin.
Sometimes something just feels off – more overwhelming, more distant, harder than it should be.
Therapy starts by slowing things down and making sense of what’s happening, together.
A steady place to come back to.
Therapy is grounded in the idea of a secure base — a place where you feel supported enough to explore what’s difficult.
At times, this may be one of the first places where you feel able to slow down and not carry everything on your own.
UNDERSTANDING DISTRESS
We look beneath symptoms.
What is this response trying to protect?
What has become too much to carry alone?
What happens when things feel overwhelming?
These questions help us understand your experience in context – rather than seeing it as something to fix.
HOW THERAPY WORKS
We slow things down and work with patterns.
We slow things down and work with patterns across thoughts, emotions, relationships, and the body.
Part of this work is noticing what’s happening internally, and how this connects to your experiences and relationships.
We also explore the perspectives of others – helping you make sense of interactions in a way that builds understanding, reduces reactivity, and supports more connected ways of responding.
The aim is not just insight, but helping you feel more steady and connected.
HOW WE WORK
Our approach is integrative and responsive to you.
We draw from a range of evidence-based therapies, adapting the work depending on what you’re needing – whether that’s understanding patterns, processing past experiences, or finding different ways to respond in the present.
This may include approaches such as EMDR, interpersonal therapy, schema therapy, cognitive behavioural therapies, family systems work, and attachment and mentalisation-based approaches. Alongside this, we also attend to the role of the body and nervous system – recognising that many experiences are held not just in thoughts, but in physiological responses that shape how you feel and relate.
We also consider the impact of life stage, stress, and hormonal changes – particularly where shifts in mood, identity, or emotional regulation feel difficult to understand.
The focus is not on fitting you into a model, but on using these approaches in a way that feels clear, grounded, and helpful.

Supporting both you and your baby.
This work supports both you and your baby, and the relationship between you.
Sessions may include working together in real time – noticing your baby’s cues, responding to their needs, and supporting you to feel more confident and steady.
Part of this involves helping you keep your baby in mind, even when things feel overwhelming – supporting safety and connection within the relationship.
Babies are welcome in session.
ATTENDING WITH YOUR BABY
When you’re coming to therapy with a baby, things don’t always run to time.
Extended sessions are available to allow space for feeding, settling, and moving at a pace that feels manageable – so you’re not leaving feeling rushed or overwhelmed.
